GUAAC
Our Mission
The Greater Uniondale Area Action Coalition (GUAAC) aspires to inspire neighbors to build a better community. Bringing together members in more than 26 different local organizations, the coalition organizes and strengthens the collective voice of Uniondale area residents and businesses. GUAAC promotes grassroots democracy and community development to change the context of economic marginalization and political exclusion. GUAAC includes the taxing areas of Uniondale, with irregularly shaped parcels, most of which lie within the Uniondale Union Free School District Boundaries.

Our Community
GUAAC plays a significant role in unifying the community by rectifying previous mappings that display incorrect Uniondale borders. The official census-designated borders of Uniondale include: (south) Southern State Pkwy, (east) Merrick Avenue at the northern portion with connection to Meadowbrook Parkway for the southward portion, (west) The actual boundaries of Village of Hempstead and Village of Garden City (Not zip codes), and (north) Old Country Road. Please note that “East Garden City” does not exist. We are proud to be Uniondale!
